The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) has officially approved ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East’s Dubai facility to conduct heavy maintenance checks on the Embraer EMB-135/145 series (Legacy 600/650 series), including checks up to 192-month checks. The company operates a 15,344 square meter (165,160 square feet) state-of-the-art MRO facility at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, according to Execujet. With this approval, “ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has commenced performing heavy maintenance checks on South African-registered Embraer Legacy aircraft following the receipt of regulatory approval.”

US carrier, United says it has “set a new standard of inflight connectivity by signing the industry’s largest agreement of its kind with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s fast, reliable Wi-Fi service to the airline’s mainline and regional aircraft fleet, for free.”

Aviation Minister And Insurance Regulator Meet On Aircraft Insurance Challenges
The Federal Government of Nigeria is taking steps to address issues related to aircraft insurance in the Nigerian airline sector. The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo disclosed this after a meeting with the Commissioner for Insurance/ Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission, NAICOM, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin and his delegation who were on a working visit to the Honourable Minister.
AFRAA and EgyptAir Collaborate To Boost Aviation Training in Africa
At the Egypt International Air Show at El Alamein in Egypt, African Airlines Association (AFRAA) and EgyptAir Training Academy signed a “Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on training that will facilitate a framework of collaboration between AFRAA and EgyptAir Training Academy to achieve common objectives on training of aviation professionals across the African continent.” The collaboration will “support the development of sustainable and safe air transport system in Africa and thereby effectively contribute to the continent’s economic development and integration”, according to AFRAA. The MoU was signed by AFRAA’s Secretary General, Mr. Abderahmane Berthé and President of EgyptAir Training Academy, Capt. Waleed Soliman.

Saudi Delegation To Attend The Egypt International Airshow
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia will participate in the Egypt International Airshow from 3-5 September, with a delegation headed by His Excellency the President, Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, according to the organisation. The Egypt International Airshow is set to take place at El Alamein International Airport and will host some of the most renowned speakers and companies in the space, defense, and commercial aviation industries.
