Air Senegal has announced the opening of its new service Dakar – Freetown through Banjul from August 2, 2021. This, the airline said is to consolidates the strategic development plan aimed at connecting the major cities of West Africa to Dakar.
Flights will be offered 4 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the airline said.
Meanwhile, Air Senegal had announced it would be resuming commercial flights operation into Bissau, Guinea-Bissau effective Monday 21st June 2021.
Initially, flights will operate three times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and shall be increased to four weekly effective 31st August 2021. All services will be operated using a 70 seater ATR 72 aircraft, it stated.
The flight timing from Bissau allows quick connections via Dakar to Bamako, Abidjan, Conakry, Banjul, Praia and Nouakchott. Special introductory fares to all destinations are available to be purchased from authorized travel agents.
Air Senegal said it has a new frequent flier program called Teranga Loyalty and the carrier will be announcing shortly mileage points promotions for its frequent flier members across its European network for this summer season.
According to the airline, Air Senegal is the first African carrier to install lie-flat seats in the business class cabin of narrow body aircraft as both its Airbus A321 planes have this premium product on board.
